WEBJul 27, 2021 · get 1440p 144hz (my least favourite choice, as it only slightly benefits the game I play 75% of the time) wait for a new GPU and get 1440p 240hz so I can get the best out of visual games, as well as high hz in valorant. Basically, waiting a year or so to get a "no compromise" monitor which will definitely last me a long time.

WEBJan 26, 2024 · But DSC is required to push 240Hz at 4K over both DP1.4 as well as HDMI 2.1. The problem is that DSC disables DSR/DLDSR. And while many monitors that utilize DSC allow you to disable the feature and run at a lower refresh rate if you want, Alienware has NOT allowed this to happen on this monitor as a design choice!

As of around 11/19/20 when this released, there are only three 1440p 240hz monitors for US buyers. two of them are IPS, and one of those two has a GSYNC module which is this monitor. It's a little special when you realize there isn't a lot like it on the market.
