WEBJul 4, 2014 · Remove the battery from the mouse and remove the mouse from the Bluetooth list and replace the battery with a new one in the mouse and re-pair the mouse with the tablet and see if it will work. If it doesn't, the mouse is most likely defective. My Asus has a strong Bluetooth adapter and chances are, yours is as well.

WEBOct 26, 2013 · The long press should set it to searching for something to connect to. According to this page (scroll down a bit) you need to hold the button 3-5 seconds to go to pairing mode. After it's been paired, in the future, you can just 'tap' the mouse button and it should auto-connect if the Surface is nearby and on.
