Nice view of Kastri Island, plus there are the ruins of a monastery to explore. Sea is clear, bit pebbly so bring some swim shoes. We were staying in the Ikos hotel, so worth going down to this beach…Full review by Wombling_Free_7548

Unfortunately there isn't a road. You can go there by swimming or you can render a bicycle-boat from the Agios Stefanos beach (i think it's 15€ for 30 mins). Prefer the boat because it's a pretty long distance to swim it. Once you get there, you moor the boat and then there are less than 20 steps to go up to the church. BUT the steps are very steep, especially the initial ones are pretty hard to climb. I remember my girlfriend was struggling to climb without my help. So you definitely need a strong partner with you. Anyway you can try to get to Kastri by boat and if you cannot climb the steps, make a ride around the Kastri and return to Agios Stefanos beach witch is the best beach in Kos in my opinion.

There are lots of places to park your car near the beach. Just none I could find that were tarmac’d. Areas just off road that are flat enough to get to and park up at edge of beach. You will recognise them when you get there. Best parking if you want more than that is towards the small harbour. This is located at the southern section of the beach closest to kefalos which in turn is at the top of a steep road above the harbour. We found that it was most convenient to chose an area in the central beach section as it is closest to more amenities. If driving into the area from elsewhere in the island you will see what I mean as you come over the hill towards the beach area.
Hi, can anyone tell me which bus goes from Kos Town to Agios Stefanos beach? Any other information like how long it takes and where the bus stops, etc, would really be appreciated.

Not sure of the times of the buses although there are some and not far to walk from the main road. You can drive there its about 40 km so that depends on your mode of transport car bike quad or bus. Well worth the trip we went several times to that beach its worth it but we stayed in Kefalos so we could wzlk from our hotel.
