Hi, am looking to book a trip to ECC in Feb next year, my husband is 80 and although fit for his age he's not as fit as when he was 40! Can anyone advise just how much walking/trecking is involved in the 2 day 1 night trip. Thank for any help

There’s some uphill and down hill walking involved, reasonably steep in parts. I guess the overall distances each day would be around five miles. You don’t have to do the trekking to see the elephants as they are close to the accommodation in the afternoon when they are brought to the lake to bath and some are also at the socialisation centre. I suggest you contact the EEC through their website.

If would write to them about this, but I was alone too and there were 2 other single women volunteering with them and we were staying in the dormitories. We had one each. It was perfect!
