There’s some uphill and down hill walking involved, reasonably steep in parts. I guess the overall distances each day would be around five miles. You don’t have to do the trekking to see …

There’s some uphill and down hill walking involved, reasonably steep in parts. I guess the overall distances each day would be around five miles. You don’t have to do the trekking to see the elephants as they are close to the accommodation in the afternoon when they are brought to the lake to bath and some are also at the socialisation centre. I suggest you contact the EEC through their website.

I am not sure if that is an option but I would recommend asking the sanctuary directly if they have day tours.

no, i would say they all have a stunning view. But I went all the way down to the water to enjoy a quiet view of the lake.

If would write to them about this, but I was alone too and there were 2 other single women volunteering with them and we were staying in the dormitories. We had one each. It was perfect!
