It appears that your question has been answered but I will offer additional advice with a little less attitude than other authors. Paris is a magical city and a map will be helpful. I purchased one from a bookstore here in Oklahoma that was laminated and folded nicely into a pocket! There are terrific apps for the Metro. Some will allow you to put in a destination and it will tell you exactly the route to take. This is an invaluable asset. Buy a Metro pass - it will save you much in taxi fees. The Notre Dame and Eiffel are very close to one another. Not knowing your health and other particulars I don't know if you could walk to the Jardin. Having children to control or ill health could make the Metro a better choice - plus it's a lot of fun. See the tower at night - it's spectacular. Hope you have a terrific visit.
