NAIROBI (Reuters) -Kenyan President William Ruto said on Thursday he had ordered the cancellation of a procurement process expected to hand control of the country's main airport to India's Adani Group following the indictment of the company's founder in the United States.

It follows the indictment of billionaire Gautam Adani in New York on Wednesday. President William Ruto announced that the controversial multimillion-dollar deals in the energy, transport and health sectors would be scrapped during his state of the nation address to parliament on Thursday.

It follows accusations that Adani was scheming to pay over $250 million in bribes to Indian government officials, which he denies.
