Two young leaders from prominent political families are facing off in the Bandra East Assembly seat also known as Vandre East. Zeeshan Siddique and Varun Sardesai are competing for the seat in the upcoming election.

Zeeshan Siddique, NCP candidate in Bandra East, is trailing behind Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate Varun Sardesai. Siddique joined NCP recently, shortly after his father Baba Siddique's death.
