The headquarters of Texas workwear brand Dickies is relocating from Fort Worth to the Los Angeles metro area. VF Corporation, which acquired Dickies in 2017, plans to move Dickies to an existing brand campus the company maintains in Costa Mesa,

Dickies, the iconic workwear manufacturer founded in Fort Worth more than century ago, is moving headquarters to California. The move will impact about 120 employees in Fort Worth, but Dickies will still maintain a “strong employment presence” here.

Dickies, a storied 102-year-old Fort Worth-based clothing company specializing in tough workwear, is leaving Cowtown for the West Coast.

Iconic Fort Worth-based workwear brand Dickies is moving its headquarters to California. VF Corporation, which owns brands like Vans, Timberland and The North Face, acquired Dickies in an $820 million deal in 2017.

The move to California will have no impact on the naming rights of Dickies Arena, said Whitney Blake, a spokesperson for Trail Drive Management in an email to the Star-Telegram. Trail Drive is a nonprofit contracted with the city of Fort Worth to operate the arena.

Denver-based VF Corp., which owns Dickies along with other apparel brands such as The North Face, announced the Dickies brand headquarters is moving to an existing campus the company maintains in Costa Mesa, outside of Irvine, that is home to Vans, VF's skateboarding apparel brand.
