Travis Armstrong was shopping at the time of the stabbing and said his 15-year-old daughter, Ava, was waiting for him in the car outside, parked next to the suspect's vehicle.

CARVER, Minn. (FOX 9) - A 17-year-old employee at Fleet Farm was assaulted with a weapon in Carver on Sunday afternoon, authorities say. According to the Carver County Sheriff's Office, just after 2 p.m., a teenage girl employee at the Carver Fleet Farm was assaulted with a weapon by a man.

The criminal complaint filed Tuesday showed 31-year-old Gerald Hudson was charged with first- and second-degree assault, for the attack that left the 17-year-old employee with a 2- to 3-inch laceration to the back of her neck. Court documents said the alleged assault occurred inside the company's Carver location just after 2 p.m. Sunday.

Prosecutors on Tuesday charged 31-year-old Gerald Dwayne Hudson, of Kansas City, KS, with one count each of 1st- and 2nd-degree assault in connection with the incident, which happened around 2 p.m. at the west metro Fleet Farm store in Carver.
