Former Georgia quarterback Carson Beck spent roughly 24 hours in the transfer portal before committing to play for the Miami Hurricanes in 2025, according to multiple reports.

Former Georgia quarterback Carson Beck, who quickly became the top overall prospect in 247Sports' Transfer Rankings, committed to Miami via social media Friday afternoon. Beck's decision comes less than 24 hours after he entered the transfer portal.

Thursday's services capped six days of remembrance for Carter, who died on Dec. 29 at the age of 100. Following the honors in Washington, it was his wish to be buried in his hometown of Plains, next to his beloved wife of 77 years, Rosalynn Carter.

President Carter’s body has arrived for a second, more intimate service at Maranatha Baptist Church, the small congregation on the outskirts of Plains, Georgia, where he long taught Sunday school.
