Alexander’s superstar sins were forgiven.  Just days after the Thunder guard was stunned by the Pelicans in Saturday’s second half, Gilgeous-Alexander's mistakes and mortality were washed away.

With their primary offensive engine sputtering, the Mavericks yielded far too much ground to the Thunder. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had one of his best games of the season with 39 points on 15-of-23 shooting with eight rebounds, five assists and three steals, completely outplaying his superstar counterpart.

Despite his 39 points, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander said it was the Thunder's defense, which held Mavs stars Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving to a combined 33 points, that carried the team to a 118-104 win.
