Ernst & Young India chairman Rajiv Memani’s email to staff addressing the death of Anna Sebastian Perayil has been leaked online.

Anna Sebastian Perayil, a 26-year-old Chartered Accountant at EY Pune, passed away after just four months on the job. Her mother’s viral letter accused the company of overworking her and criticized their absence at her funeral.

In a letter addressed to Memani, Anna’s mother Anita Augustine blamed the company for the death of her daughter as she was overworked and did not even get time to “catch a breath.” She added that at the time of her demise,
