A 17-vehicle collision in Michigan, caused by a snow-induced whiteout, critically injured one and closed I-94.

Interstate 94 in Michigan was shut down between Hartford and Watervliet after Michigan State Police said more than a dozen vehicles were involved in a pileup crash, and 15 other vehicles slid off the road in the same area.

A total of 14 cars or other passenger vehicles and three semi-trailer trucks were involved, Michigan State Police said.
