India's Venus Orbiter Mission and Chandrayaan-4 will push new boundaries in planetary exploration and lunar science.

Venus, often called Earth's "evil twin," is a world of extremes, making it the most dangerous place to launch a spacecraft in the Solar System.

Following the success of Chandrayaan 3, ISRO has proposed Chandrayaan 4, a joint lunar mission with Japan targeting the Moon's south pole. With the aim of collecting and returning lunar soil and rock samples to Earth—a first for India—the mission marks a significant leap in lunar exploration.

ISRO Director Nilesh Desai revealed the Indian government's approval for the Shukrayaan mission to Venus, launching in 2028. Plans include Chandrayaan 4 in collaboration with Japan and a pivotal Mars mission.
