Family members are left devastated after 9-year-old Princeton Nicholas Jones was shot and killed in front of his grandfather's Compton home. The suspect has been identified as his biological father, 32-year-old Nicholas Jones.

Detectives identified Nicholas Jones, of Compton, as a suspect, and on Dec. 1 he was arrested for murder and child abuse resulting in death.

COMPTON, Calif. -- A father has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of his 9-year-old son in Compton over the weekend. The incident happened just after 7:30 p.m. Saturday on Haskins Avenue, near Visalia Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
