Walmart, Wegmans and Albertsons stores have recalled cucumbers for possible contamination with salmonella. They were sold in more than half of states.

Federal regulators, which have fielded reports from 19 states, say the number of people sickened may be much higher.

68 people across 19 states have been infected with in the outbreak linked to cucumbers, resulting in 18 hospitalizations.
