Scotland captain Sione Tuipulotu scored a try against the land of his birth in a 27-13 win over Australia at Murrayfield on Sunday that dashed the Wallabies' dream of a Grand Slam.

The 27-year-old Glasgow centre’s 77-year-old Greenock-born grandmother Jacqueline Thomson was in the stand at Murrayfield.

Scotland can now be taken seriously. At least, that was what was suggested by the Scottish centre, Huw Jones, earlier this week, as a possible conclusion to defeating Australia and ending their autumn campaign on the up.
