New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson is "not close to a return to action" as he deals with a hamstring injury, according to ESPN's Shams

Pelicans All-Star forward Zion Williamson is nowhere near being ready to return to the hardwood for New Orleans, sources tell Shams Charania of ESPN. The 6-foot-6 superstar suffered a left hamstring strain two weeks ago.

Williamson, 24, has undergone multiple treatments on the hamstring but hasn't recovered enough to a point where he's ready to play. The Pelicans expected him to miss four to six weeks when he suffered the injury on Nov. 6 versus the Cleveland Cavaliers, according to ESPN's Shams Charania.

Zion Williamson's relationship with CAA may be in jeopardy as his ongoing struggles with injuries continue to raise questions.

The New Orleans Pelicans have had a very rocky start to their season due to inconsistent play and , most importantly, injuries. Most of the constant rotation players for the Pelicans have been in and out of the lineup so far this season,
