WINDS Due to a passing cold front, there will be breezy conditions today, tonight, and Black Friday. COLD FRONT A strong cold front is moving through the area, giving us cooling temperatures throughout the day.

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A big change is coming on Thanksgiving Day. A cold front moving across the state will bring rain and storms in the morning. Some storms could be strong to severe in our eastern areas if we get enough heating in the early morning. Most areas will just see some showers.

The region has been starved of rain this fall, leaving 97% of the Northeast abnormally dry and more than half of it in drought. Thursday’s storm should tamp down the risk of brush fires while easing pressure on the upstate reservoirs that provide New York City with drinking water,
