Arizona’s loss to BYU this past weekend still stings for head coach Tommy Lloyd, but for more than what happened on the court. Immediately following the Cougars’ dramatic one-point victory, Arizona’s student section began a profane chant directed at members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as BYU players headed to the locker room.

Arizona has lost three of its last four games by a combined eight points, including Saturday night's 96-95 loss to BYU that was decided by a questionable foul call. The bad call aside, Arizona coach Tommy Lloyd said his team needs to be more focused.

Prior to Saturday, Arizona was 43-1 under Tommy Lloyd when it scored 90 points in a game. After facing BYU, however, that record is now 43-2. Lloyd’s No. 19-ranked Wildcats fell in dramatic, 96-95 fashion to the Cougars Saturday night in Tucson, with a controversial foul call leading to the eventual game-winning free throws from Richie Saunders.

On a day of college hoops that featured massive SEC clashes, the second Saint Mary’s-Gonzaga matchup of the season, and a non-conference showdown at MSG between Duke and Illinois, the game of the day was without question a late-night tip-off between Arizona and BYU.

In a game that had 137 possessions and nearly 200 points, a foul called with 3.2 seconds left ended up deciding the outcome. Or did it? While Tommy Lloyd disagreed with the foul called on Trey Townsend that allowed BYU to win 96-95,
