SONOMA COUNTY, Calif. (KGO) -- In the North Bay, the unmistakable roar of engines can be heard for miles this weekend. NASCAR is returning to Sonoma Raceway and thousands of racing fans are in Wine Country for all the thrills.

The sprawling Sears Point campus has transformed into a three-day hotbed of action that concludes with the sport’s best drivers battling it out Sunday.

NASCAR returns to Sonoma Raceway in California for a weekend of racing, including the Toyota/Save Mart 350 Cup Series race on July 13. The ARCA Menards West Series runs the General Tire 200 on July 11, while the Xfinity Series runs the Pit Boss/FoodMaxx 250 on July 12 along with Cup Series practice and qualifying.
