WSP urges caution after 5 patrol vehicles hit by distracted or suspected impaired drivers
RENTON, Wash. — As holiday travel picks up, the Washington State Patrol (WSP) is urging drivers to slow down and pay attention after five of their patrol units were hit by drivers who were either distracted or suspected of being impaired. The crashes happened in just the span of a few days, starting Saturday night.

KING COUNTY, Wash. – For the sixth time in just five days, a Washington State Patrol trooper's car was hit in King County. The latest incident occurred along northbound 167 near I-405. Troopers reported that the driver did not move over and collided with the patrol car. The trooper involved was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
