Houston’s offseason overhaul continues. The Rockets are trading forward Cam Whitmore to the Washington Wizards for two second-round picks, according to multiple reports. The deal, which was confirmed on July 6, was folded into an existing framework involving CJ McCollum’s larger trade to the Wizards from the New Orleans Pelicans.

Cam Whitmore is going to get his chance. Whitmore was frustrated in Houston with his lack of minutes. Part of that was that Whitmore was stuck in a logjam at the forward spot in Houston, and the addition this offseason of Kevin Durant and Dorian Finney-Smith was not going to help matters.
