Two fires have collectively burned over 1000 acres in counties around Los Angeles on Friday.

Evacuations were underway Friday due to a brush fire burning in the northern Los Angeles County community of Acton. As of 1:40 p.m., the wind-driven Crown Fire was estimated at about 280 acres by 2 p.m. It was reported at about 11:30 a.m., when thick smoke began rising from a canyon area near North Crown Valley Road and Soledad Canyon Road.
Well Fire initially started 10:10 a.m. April 2 on Highway 33, North of West Palmer Ave., Coalinga in Fresno County, California. It has burned 45 acres after being active for 21 hours. As of Friday morning, the blaze has been fully contained. Investigations into its cause are still ongoing.
