The Vegas Golden Knights have acquired Mitch Marner in a sign-and-trade with Toronto Maple Leafs. That's according to a person with knowledge of the move who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because it had not been announced.

The Maple Leafs' farewell post was immediately flooded with fan reactions, many of them skeptical about Toronto's decision of letting Marner go being a winning move by the organization. “The most dynamic player to wear the blue & white since Wendel.
