Utah became the first state to prohibit LGBTQ+ pride flags from being displayed at government buildings and schools after the governor declined to reject the measure.

The ban also means flags supporting certain political candidates or parties would not be allowed, including President Donald Trump’s “Make America Great Again” flag, according to AP.

The new Utah law states that only a handful of flags like the American flag are allowed to be displayed in government buildings and schools, the AP reported.
