San Francisco city officials are investigating after three men who claimed to be from the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) showed up at City Hall on Friday demanding records from offices before fleeing.

The three men, who wore DOGE shirts and MAGA hats, demanded digital records related to "alleged wasteful government spending and fraud," officials said.

A peculiar incident last week in which three men stormed offices at San Francisco City Hall while claiming to work for the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) remains under investigation, the San Francisco Sheriff’s Office said in an update Tuesday.

Officials with the San Francisco Sheriff's Office on Tuesday confirmed that three men claiming to work for the Department of Government Efficiency who demanded information from city officials last week were wearing t-shirts for the cryptocurrency Dogecoin.
