Actor-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut on Sunday hit out at Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray to a ‘daitya’ (satan), saying that the Maha Vikas Aghadi was trounced in the Maharashtra assembly elections because it disrespected women.

The Maharashtra polls held this year were undoubtedly crucial, as it was for the first time two major parties in the state, the NCP and Shiv Sena, entered the poll battle following a split.

As the Mahayuti sweeps the 2024 general assembly elections in Maharashtra, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Kangana Ranaut slammed the Shiv Sena (UBT) and its Aghadi coalition, accusing them of "disrespecting women" and calling them "daitya (monsters).

Linking the opposition alliance with ‘daitya’, Bollywood actress and BJP MP Kanagana Ranaut said that Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) suffered a defeat because it had disrespected women.
