Households across England and Wales are facing another rise in water bills, adding an extra £33 a year to the average household, despite rising public anger over sewage spills.

Average household water bills in Yorkshire are set to increase by 5.6% in April, it has been announced.

It comes as companies prepare to invest £20bn over the next year to secure water supplies and end sewage entering rivers and seas.
