DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin is likely to be appointed as the Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. Currently holding the position of Sports and Youth Welfare Minister in Tamil Nadu government, Udhayanidhi’s possible elevation is expected in the next 24 hours, India Today reported citing sources.

Tamil Nadu Sports Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin said on Wednesday that Chief Minister MK Stalin will decide whether to elevate him as Deputy CM.

Tamil Nadu Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin refuted speculation about his elevation as Deputy Chief Minister, emphasizing that such decisions are solely the prerogative of the Chief Minister. He urged the media not to speculate on his behalf.

Udhayanidhi Stalin, son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin, is poised to take on a significant new role as the deputy chief minister of the state.
