Atlanta Braves second baseman Ozzie Albies had a monster night for the Gwinnett Stripers during the first game of his rehab assignment. The highlight of the night came when he blasted a line-drive three-run shot to left field in the top of the seventh inning to give the Stripers a 4-0 lead.

Former Saginaw Heritage and Nebraska star Spencer Schwellenbach isn’t the ace for the Atlanta Braves rotation. But he pitched like one Wednesday. Schwellenbach became the stopper for the Braves, ending Atlanta’s three-game losing streak and evening his record at 7-7 in a 7-1 win over Cincinnati.

The Atlanta Braves have picked an absolutely horrible time to drop three-straight games and it’s incredibly important to make sure that it doesn’t get to four losses in a row. They have to stop the bleeding and it starts with this middle game of their three-game series with the Cincinnati Reds.
