The New York Giants have a 2-8 record heading into their bye week and general manager Joe Schoen acknowledged this is not where he expected to be in the third year of his rebuild with coach Brian Daboll.

“There’s no sense in going through a rebuild with the head coach and a general manager on the hot seat,” Canty said. “It’s been three years for (Brian) Daboll and (Joe) Schoen and frankly, that’s long enough.”

After this Week 11 bye, Schoen and Daboll have seven games left to back up the GM’s claim of progress before their third season comes to an end.
