A Connecticut man wanted for murder in the fatal shooting of a 20-year-old mother of two and her 4-month-old son was arrested in Puerto Rico on Saturday.

The search continues for the suspect in a drive-by shooting in Hartford on Tuesday afternoon that killed a 20-year-old mother and her 4-month-old son. Police said on Thursday that they have located the vehicle they were searching for.

Lance “Macho” Morales of Waterbury, wanted in the Hartford shooting deaths of Jessiah Mercado and her 4-month-old son, is in custody out of state.

HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) - A mother and a 4-month-old boy were the victims of a deadly drive-by shooting in Hartford on Tuesday. Police on Wednesday afternoon identified the suspect as 23-year-old Lance Morales of Waterbury.

The U.S. Marshals have announced the capture of a suspect wanted in connection with the killing of a mother and her baby in a drive-by shooting.

Lance Morales is accused of shooting and killing Jessiah Mercado, 20, and her baby, Messiah Diaz, both of Springfield, Mass. A man in his 20s was also injured.
