Instagram lets you share your location and get silly in latest update for DMs
Headlining the updates today (Nov 26) is the ability for users to share their live location via DMs. According to a Newsroom post, Instagram states you can share your location "privately" in one-on-one and group chat DM threads. The platform states your shared location in a chat will "disappear after one hour."

To share your live location, you just need to open a direct message with a friend or a group chat. From there, you can choose to share your live location for up to an hour. If you'd rather not share your live location constantly, you can also just drop a pin on the map to show people where you are.

Instagram rolling out Find My Friends-like feature for sharing live location
Meta announced on Monday some new features coming to Instagram direct messages, and location sharing support is one of them. The company said in a blog post that the feature aims to make it easier for people to arrange hangouts directly from their Instagram conversations.
