Several people have been shot near Interstate 75 in Laurel County, Kentucky, according to the Laurel County Sheriff’s office.
INDIANAPOLIS — An Indiana woman is crediting God for saving her life during the Sept. 7 mass shooting along Interstate 75 in Kentucky.
Joseph A. Couch, was first named as a person of interest and later as a suspect in the shooting after authorities said they recovered his SUV on a service road near the crime scene.
Gov. Andy Beshear said in an earlier statement on X: “Kentucky, we are aware of a shooting on I-75 in Laurel County. Law enforcement has shut the interstate down in both directions at exit 49.
