Kane Williamson, in the second innings of New Zealand, slammed 61 from 86 balls. The former New Zealand skipper now has scored 9035 runs in the longest format of the game for his country. He has thus created history by becoming the first player from New Zealand to score 9000 runs in Test Cricket.

The 10 teams build their squads through an auction. On Sunday, Rishabh Pant, India’s swashbuckling wicketkeeper-batter, became the most expensive player in the IPL’s 16-year history when the Lucknow Super Giants paid $3.2 million for his services. The auction price represents the player’s salary.
