JonBenét Ramsey's dad is urging Colorado police to test DNA connected to his dauther's death ahead of a new Netflix docuseries.

It was a story that gripped the country and one that has yet to be solved. In the early hours of Dec. 26, 1996, JonBenét Ramsey’s mother, Patsy, found a ransom note on the stairs of their Boulder, Colorado home saying JonBenét had been kidnapped.

The docuseries debuted on Nov. 25 on Netflix as an investigative series about JonBenét Ramsey, a 6-year-old who was reported missing from her home in Boulder on Dec. 26, 1996. The family of the beauty pageant star later found her dead in the basement of the home.

JonBenét's brother Burke Ramsey has kept a low profile even as Netflix's "Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenét Ramsey" reignites interest in the murder.

Without specifically addressing the docuseries, Boulder Police called many of the claims in the show "completely false."
