Netflix U.S. has just added a stirring new biopic starring Oscar-winning performer, Angelina Jolie. "Maria" is the latest effort from Pablo Larraín, and continues his recent run of biographical historical dramas looking at iconic women from the 20th century after 2021's "Spencer" and the Natalie Portman-fronted 2016 biopic, "Jackie".

Netflix only acquired the US rights to the movie and after a limited theatrical run, the streaming service released Maria on December 11. So if you're in the US, you can watch the biopic right now. If you're in the UK and Ireland though, you're in for a longer wait as Maria will arrive exclusively in cinemas on January 10, 2025 through StudioCanal.
