Mark Taylor and Matthew Hayden have both questioned Pat Cummins' baffling captaincy that allowed Virat Kohli to rediscover his form with a sparkling century in the first cricket Test. The Aussies are heading for a humiliating loss in Perth, but to make matters worse they've also allowed Kohli to get back in form.

Australia has achieved just about everything in world cricket since Pat Cummins took over as the full-time skipper, but there remains one final frontier to conquer for his side.

India captain, Rohit Sharma has cited personal reasons and has opted out of the Perth Test. In his absence, Bumrah is poised to lead the side. Pat Cummins, also a pacer and the permanent Test captain of Australia, welcomed the aspect of fast bowlers leading the sides. He also added that this development should “happen more”.
