Most U.S. real estate brokerage and residential real estate-related stocks traded in the green after a court granted final approval on Tuesday of the National Association of Realtors ("NAR") proposed settlement agreement to resolve class action claims related to broker commissions.

Following a lawsuit, the National Association of Realtors was ordered to rewrite its rules governing agents’ commissions and pay $418 million in damages.

Following years of litigation, the National Association of Realtors (NAR) agreed to pay $418 million to settle a series of high-profile antitrust lawsuits filed in 2019 on behalf of home sellers. Although the settlement is subject to final court approval,
