Local law enforcement officials are taking steps to enhance public safety and potentially halt the upcoming Jeep Weekend, also known as "Go Topless Weekend," on the Bolivar Peninsula. Sheriff Jimmy Fullen met with Houston Police Department Chief Noe Diaz and their respective command staffs Tuesday at HPD headquarters to develop a coordinated response strategy.

At the scene, the victim’s sedan could be seen mangled and the front of the suspect’s truck was heavily damaged. Debris from the vehicle was found near the scene.
