LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is asking for the public’s help in locating a fugitive who swam back to Mexico during a pursuit. The incident occurred on Saturday, January 18, at approximately 3 p.m. along IH 35 near Mile Marker 8, ending near the outlet mall.

According to reports, there were no injuries in the incident near Fronton Island, an uninhabited island in Starr County, Texas.
