Team USA's Alex Ferreira took home gold in the men's freestyle skiing halfpipe final at the 2026 Winter Olympics on Friday.

Eileen Gu rewrote the history books once again on Sunday at the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics. The freestyle skiing star dominated the halfpipe competition on her way to her third medal in this year’s Winter Games.

Freestyle Skiing has been part of the Winter Games’ program since 1988. The sight of athletes soaring through the sky has been exciting for fans. In 2014, in Sochi, Halfpipe was added, with competitors having the chance to show off their skills and finesse while throwing caution to the wind with high-flying action.

Freestyle Skiing has been part of the Winter Games’ program since 1988. The exciting sight of athletes soaring through the sky has been an exciting sight for fans. Aerials was a demonstration sport in both 1988 and 1992, but was officially entered into the program as a medal event in Lillehammer, Norway in 1994.

LIVIGNO, Italy (AP) — The women's Olympic freeski halfpipe final at the Milan Cortina Games will be held on Sunday, a day later than originally scheduled because of heavy snow in the Italian Alps. The postponement of Saturday's race is the latest winter weather hiccup to impact the program.

Montanan Konnor Ralph is set to compete on one of the biggest stages in sports. Ralph, a 23-year-old freestyle skier from Helena, qualified for the Olympic men’s freeski slopestyle event on Feb. 7 and will compete in the final beginning at 8:30 a.

The men's aerials qualifiers and final were rescheduled for Friday starting from 4:30 p.m. ET, while the men's halfpipe qualification runs were moved to an hour after that.

The 22-year-old Gu, American born but competing for her mother's homeland of China, is already the most decorated freeskier in the short history of the sport at the Olympics. She has captured two silver medals at the Milan Cortina Games and now has two gold and three silver from two Games. She is the defending champion on the halfpipe.
