The man who is accused of setting Ugandan Olympic athlete Rebecca Cheptegei on fire and killing her has also died from burn wounds, according to reports.

Rebecca Cheptegei’s boyfriend doused her with gasoline and set her ablaze this week during a dispute over land, police and her family said. She died Thursday in the latest horrific attack on a female Olympian in Kenya.

A hospital in Kenya said Dickson Ndiema, ex-boyfriend of runner Rebecca Cheptegei, died of burns sustained during his alleged fire attack after the Paris Olympics.
