Houston ISD announced Sunday that it plans to cancel classes on Tuesday and Wednesday due to the incoming winter storm and expected hazardous driving conditions. The closure of the largest school district in Texas comes after the National Weather Service issued a rare winter storm watch through Tuesday afternoon for the greater Houston area.
