For his follow-up to Oppenheimer, Nolan is adapting Homer’s Greek epic poem about the legend of Odysseus. The Odyssey is in production and well over a year away from hitting theaters.

Well, that’s dramatic. The film may well be Nolan’s first foray into mythical territory, given that Odysseus’ long journey home sees him meet all kinds of literal monsters.

The first is ΟΔΥCCEOC, the Greek genitive (i.e. possessive or attributive) case of Odysseus which suggests a writer referring to the location as the hero’s palace or temple.

There's imagery for the Trojan horse, and Bernthal's character says, "I know nothing of Odysseus, not since Troy." This could indicate that Nolan will include aspects of The Iliad in this movie ...
