Following the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique, RJD leader Manoj Jha expressed serious concerns about the state government. He stated, "The manner and location of this murder clearly indicate that the government is a puppet in someone else's hands.

Police had earlier arrested Haryana resident Gurmail Baljit Singh (23), Uttar Pradesh native Dharmaraj Rajesh Kashyap (19), both alleged shooters, and "co-conspirator" Pravin Lonkar from Pune.

Lawrence Bishnoi's gang has claimed responsibility for recent violent incidents, yet Mumbai Police cannot secure his custody due to a Home Ministry order. Currently in Sabarmati Jail, Bishnoi is under investigation for the murder of former minister Baba Siddique and faces multiple ongoing cases.
