The bill includes stronger restrictions on Medicaid, which provides health care coverage to over 70 million low-income and disabled Americans, including 1.72 million Coloradans.

Colorado Access President Annie Lee spoke about the "shift" in health care in the state that will result from the "big, beautiful bill." A Medicaid recipient also provided her reaction.

The bill in Congress also would narrow the group of immigrants with legal status who can receive tax credits to purchase health insurance on the federal marketplace.
