Facing allegations of sexual misconduct, Karim Khan has temporarily stepped aside as a U.N. investigation enters its final stage, the International Criminal Court announced Friday.

The Journal reported last week that an aide to Karim Khan told investigators he had forcible sexual intercourse with her on multiple occasions.

The chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, who was pursuing war crimes cases against the leaders of Israel and Russia, has abruptly stepped aside while under investigation himself amid allegations of sexual misconduct.
