Rishabh Pant shattered IPL records, fetching a historic Rs 27 crore from Lucknow Super Giants, becoming the highest-paid player ever. Shreyas Iyer wasn't far behind, joining Punjab Kings for Rs 26.75 crore.

Lucknow Super Giants splurged Rs 27 crore for Rishabh Pant at the IPL auction making him the most expensive ever in the history of the cash-rich league. However, an Indian player who went unsold at the auction has broken Pant's record now to smash fastest T20 century.

LSG's massive bid for Pant eclipsed Shreyas Iyer's record as the tournament's costliest player within minutes. Earlier,  Punjab Kings had shattered the record by acquiring Iyer for Rs 26.75 crore.
